Bugs
I've noticed a few minor problems here and there, nothing that breaks the game for me though. Stuff like typos in the mail I get etc. Although I made a historical game being the 1967 Flyers with random debuts. The first one I noticed was a 0'0" 0lbs Charlie McCarthy (G for the Montreal Wanderers from 1910-1919) I obviously took him. Then a couple weeks after the initial draft, my scouts found 3.5 star Cam Ward in free agency so I went to sign him and couldn't. I found out I couldn't because he is 1967 years old. Now as you can see I obviously want to sign him too but can't because he's too old. We need an update where I can offer a contract to someone who's lived for that long who's still a free agent and not retired. I hope this helps.

McCarthy's height and weight were missing in the database, I'll get that fixed. I can't see anything wrong with Ward's data that would cause the strange age, though. I'll do a little testing and see if it's happening with anyone else.

I was able to find another 1967-year-old when I ran a test, Simon Gagne this time. No obvious reason in his data for this to have happened, either, we're going to have to dig a little further to see what's going on there.
Edit: And as soon as I submitted that, I figured it out: Ward and Gagne are leap-year babies, both born on February 29. That must be breaking something when their birth year gets randomized to a non-leap year. Last edited by JeffR; 11-14-2018 at 02:04 PM. |
