****NOTE****
This is a re-rating of the file that I believe came with the stock database. It seemed entirely too weak in my opinion. Maybe the rating was pulled down a bit by considering his lackluster Bantamweight career along with the stellar flyweight career. Also, his name is spelled with an 'H' at Boxrec and elsewhere. I thought that the rating in the game shorted him on power and chin as a fly. VENICE BORKHORSOR Fly (1968-1980) Overall Rating = 10 Hometown - Nakornpanom, Thailand 49(36)-8-0 Thai Flyweight Champion WBC Flyweight Champion OPBF Bantamweight Champion Thai Bantamweight Champion Borkhorsor was a heavy handed flyweight that stopped Harry Hayes and outpointed Snappy Asano. In 1972, he took the WBC title from Betulio Gonzalez with a tenth round TKO. He defended the title against Erbito Salavarria in 1973 before moving up to bantamweight. As a flyweight, Borkhorsor was 34(26)-1-0. The move to Bantamweight was not kind to him. He suffered 7 of his 8 career losses and his only stoppage loss to the likes of Rafael Herrera, Rodolfo Martinez, Soo-Hwan Hong, Paul Ferreri and Neptali Alamag.

Chris, your info on Venice is interesting. Years ago, Yuri Arbachov (spelling?) was one of my Flyweight champs & Venice took the title via a UD. Based on your info, maybe that outcome wasn't as far fetched as I thought it was @ the time.
Thanks! |
