Little things I'm curious about, Part 973

What does the "Turn DP" rating cover, and what doesn't it? I'm playing a defensively average third baseman whose Turn DP is in the red numbers, but the 5-4-3s are still happening. Is it just about the pivot between the first out and the second out?

that's how I interpret it - only matters for SS & 2B

I interpret it as both the pivot as well as the transfer (catch and throw)...how quickly the player can receive and get rid of the ball.

In which case I'm wondering why it's relevant for 3B...

It factors in a little. Basically a small amount about starting a DP, but a larger factor in handling the turn. So it matters a lot more for 2B/SS, but a 3B with a horrible rating will start less DP than one with a better rating.

6-5-3? 3-5-3? LOL I dunno. with all the weird shifts in play today I guess anything is possible.

Makes me think that I don't recall ever having seen a 5-3 double play (where the 3Bman steps on the bag and throws to 1st for the out). Nor, have I ever seen an unassisted double (or triple) play. Can anyone confirm if these are part of the game, or not?

I saw a 5-3 the other day. As for the other stuff, in my experience it feels as if runners don't get doubled up on line drives as often in the game as irl. I'm not one of the people who cares about things like that. My alternate universe doesn't have to be identical to this one.

3-6-3 is not easy.
