No players made the hall. Next year will have a bloated list since there is no consensuses right now and a lot of players are getting 5%.

Let me know if you like this draft review bit.

In the Hall vote, Scott Salas entered the hall on the first ballot, while quite a few others are dropped.

Scott Salas was the first pick overall who lived up to the billling.

1st overall pick in the 1903 draft, he played for SLC for five years, before being traded in a December trade to Charlotte (in a one sided trade that SLC still regrets) right as Charlotte began its massive run of world series wins, which he was part of the pitching duo for many years with David Robinson. The first of a number of Copperheads expected to enter the hall over the next 5-8 years.

Administrative note:

1. end of year will include payroll and top paid players.

2. Before season ending in five I will do a team by team review.

3. Going to stop the review of the draft every year unless someone asks for it.

In a testament to how strong the Carolina Copperheads were, They had 2 Starting pitchers get elected in the first ballot, and almost had a third in this vote. Joining the Silas who already in the hall.

David Robinson

Quite simply the best pitcher and player seen in the NBL.

His stats speak for themselves.

22 times player of the week
34 times pitcher of the Month
13 times pitcher of the year
4 times MVP
6 times best fielder
7 times playoff series MVP
9 times Championship winner
14 times all star.

398 wins, 1.72 ERA, and 5233 strikeouts.

Selected in the 1001 st overall pick in the inagural draft, in 1902 he suddenly figured out baseball, and started to become the most feared strikeout machine in baseball. Playing for Charlotte for his entire MLB life, he picked up nine championships. Pitching well into his late 30s, on 6/21/1918 he hurt his elbow ligament, and missed months of baseball. On his return he had lost the fastball that was so feared, and no longer was playing at a MLB level, claimed off waivers to Philidelphia, he was the biggest draw the Oxnard Lawmen, his hometown minor league team, when the injury bug struck again, and he retired.

At the time of enshrinement, he still holds 13 of the career pitching records in the NBL. He is also proof that no one will get all the votes to be in the hall of fame.

David Robinson in his speech joked that he was glad the team kept him even if he was the worst hitter the team had ever seen. And still fondly remembers the two home runs he hit.

Eric Sullivan is another Charlotte Pitcher who made it to the Hall of Fame.

Drafted by Dallas as the 6th overall pick in the 1901 draft, he was always a top pitcher, then traded to Detroit. Signing a free agent deal with charlotte he became part of the Copperhead monster and won 5 world series with the team. He retired while a top pitcher in the league.

The fact that he won world series with two teams, Rookie of the Year, and Pitcher of the year meant that Sullivan was easily elected into the hall. In his speech he made a passionate call for teammate Jon White to be elected, as he was cut down in the prime with a career ending injury.

It is the start of the preseason of 1925, so I will do a team by team review

Atlanta Fire
Playoffs: 9
Championships 2 (1900, 1922)

5th ranked Minor system

Generally a young team, this is one of the few teams that has more then one world series victory.
