Expansion draft?

Im looking to expand an online league. I was curious as to everyone's criteria on the draft rules? Since the game doesnt mimic real life expansion, im curious if others have found better rules to make it fairer for both current teams and the expansion teams... or if you just use the games default:
Protect 25 players
Auto protect all players less than 3 of pro service
Limit per team: x

How many draft rounds do you do?

Do you allow teams to protect more players after a certain round "off the game?"

And my last question, is there a way to create expansion teams without coaches already on them? I have hundreds upon hundreds of coaches sitting in the available personnel screen and the last thing id like to do is add more. Im assuming the only way around this is to manually delete the coaches from the two expansion teams?

I prefer 15 protections with 4-year auto protect, or 30 protections with no auto protect.

That depends on the league setup, and how many expansion teams I'm adding.

Normally, I set the number of rounds to 35-50 depending on how many minor league levels I have, and the number of players a team can lose to twice the amount of average players lost per team.
