signing/re-signing players

hello. Im looking for some friendly advice with regards to re-signing players already on my roster, as well as adding new additions to the team.

I find it all a little overwhelming at the mo', and thought some help from this forum would be a good idea before I start making some moves.

I have most of my active roster with contracts ending after the current season. When, and until when can I sign these guys before they go FA?

Do I need to sign them before the end of the season, or do they tend to return to the team during the offseason?

Is there a place on the game that can help judge how much to pay a player, or will the player just request an ammount and then I just haggle alittle?

What kind of length contracts do you tend to sign?

What should I be doing with the draft? Ive requested a dozen reports on top prospects.

How many times can I request reports?

Any tips regarding trading? For example, should I look at ratings over stats or evenly on both?

Anything else is warmly welcome!!!!

Once you finish your playoffs your Auto-Play Until Event button on the MLB schedule page will update to show arbitration deadlines, free agency, and other offseason events. Generally, think two or three weeks after the end of the playoffs.

If they are free agents, you can look at similar players around the league and/or just see what the playing is requesting and work from there.

I usually try not to go longer than three or four years, especially with pitchers, unless I am desperate to keep someone.
