25000+ contracts.
When I loaded my last game I suddenly had over 25000 angry and injured Algerian players in my roster. At first the game crashed all the time until I got them away from my active roster. But they still are in my contracts page. They are all the same player, a golie named A. A.J. (HO). When I click the player he suddenly is another player in his profile (Luke Adam, a Canadian C/LW). He is contracted to Geier Mannheim so I can't manually change his contract from Montreal to Geier Mannheim. This is really weird...
Is there a way to delete all these 25000 players from my team? |

Anyone...?
I'm going bananas over here... I've tried to go in to settings/troubleshooting/open customizable data folder/saved_games/my save file/and open the players dat-file. I've tried to open the file with all kinds of text based programs but all I can see is a lot of gibberish.
Does anyone know what program the dat-files where created with? |

It sounds like something's badly corrupted in the data files, apparently more than one of them. The first thing I'd try is copying the contents of the rs_one folder (within the save) into the main save folder, overwriting what's there. That's the rolling save backup; if the corrupted data hasn't been saved repeatedly, it should contain a working version of the save. If that one doesn't work, try the same thing with rs_two, that's the older version of the rolling save.

It just went back to the state where all these players are in my active roster when I copied over the rs_two content. So the game must have saved a few times after while I've tried to fix the problem...
I guess I have to delete the file and start over. |

We could take a look at the save to see if it's recoverable (instructions here for uploading it), but from the sounds of it the corruption is pretty widespread, across multiple data files, and likely beyond fixing.
