League of WAR - New league

As many of you know I have run a couple leagues and started a series called Lords of the Realm. I am starting the next league in that series.

Simply it is a random arrival league, with most/all? of the AI exploits eliminated. It is a league to play, there are no owner goals, minors, scouts, coaches or player development.

It is a league which I can do with 16 to 32 teams, depending upon interest.

I will be simming every day (early in the morning), 1 week sims

You pick your team name, your logo and what MLB historical park you want to play in.

The player pool is the top 500 players at each position based upon career WAR.
Package draft system means fast drafts. The use of packages also encourages trading. Also expecting lots of free agents each year due to roster size limits and financials.

I've been in a couple of Bill's leagues. He sims every morning like clockwork. He always comes up with some unique quirk to his leagues that makes it interesting. I expect this to be no different.

What are packages? I found it hard to completely piece together just what exactly this league is all about, given the unique concept. Not having a league forum or messageboard kind of muddles that as well for me.

What Gaffer did was take the players in the draft and group them in groups of 5. Their total salary is nearly the same as is their total WAR. So no matter what package you draft your getting a similar total.
