Pitcher Subs and Pitch Location
Thank goodness for this section of the forum - it means i don't feel bad if the three questions I need to ask are really dumb!!!!!
1 While playing a game the text mentions numbers like 'ground ball, 56' or 'flyball, 8rxd'. I presume that the latter numbers are locations. But, what do they mean? 2 If I 'quick play' a game, is there a slider to stop the AI quickly substituting my SP or is there a way to dictate who they will be substituted by and so which pitchers I want to play that day? Looked at strategy page and presume that it is a slider there, but not sure which one. 3 Lastly (I promise) on the strategy page what does 'hook' mean in relationship to a pitcher? Thanks |

1. Go to your team home page and then Options & Ballpark. You might need to be in Commissioner mode for this. Check out Edit Ballpark, then the Ball Locations tab. That will show you where each location is programed to be.
2) No. Any quick play leaves the exact decisions to the AI. You can set strategy sliders to say 'I want LHP facing LHB more often' but you can't specify when or which lefty. 3) Pulling the pitcher out of the game. |
