2019 Cardinals
Check this out, Orcin, MizzouRah and Jason....I got so sick of having to deal with the ridiculous finances of the Royals in Challenge Mode I just started a current STL franchise.
Made wild card in 18 but holy cow what an abundance of cash. The team as of Opening Day 2019:

I like your squad. Good job in free agency!
You must have re-signed Waino. He is having a good 2018 for me, and my owner wants an extension. What did you give him? Yeah, the better teams have money. |

Weird thing is I think I have to keep meeting owner goals, because the game shows my reputation as "poor" and I think this is the last year of my contract.

What kind of contracts did you give Harper, Perez, Miller and Keuchel?

Harper was 10 years and AAV $37MM. Keuchel was 6 at AAV of $23MM. Miller was 5 and AAV of $12MM.

Nice! Hope you do better than I am in 2019. I actually might get fired.
I have Harper and he's a bit down from his MVP season last year. Molina took a deep dive downward and Waino (I had to sign him too due to owner) needs to retire. The locker room is a mess and Carpenter and Molina want traded. |

If I get an extension.. Matheny might have to go if this season doesn't turn around.

I won 2019 with the Cardinals with Harper, Dex, Pham outfield. It was great.
however I do NOT resign Wainwright. The owner can get bent. |

I pulled off a huge trade with Atlanta... goodbye Wacha and Carpenter - hello Donaldson and a good young LH SP (forgot his name).

That’s a great lineup.
In real life I’ve been waiting for the Tyler Lyons chapter to close for what seems like ten years. Still, he persists.

I started my run with the beta rosters and it is beginning to bother me. I may start over with the new patch next week. I am considering a couple of changes if I do.
One of the things that bother me about the opening roster is the open spots on the 40-man. I understand why it is done and the AI will fill theirs soon enough. But it gives me a big advantage because I can get an extra option on every Memphis player that I don’t need. So I am considering filling my roster to match the real opening 40-man. The second thing is a doozie. I believe that MLB should adopt the DH in the National League because interleague play is here to stay and it is safer for the pitchers. I like using it in OOTP because I think It helps the AI manage its bullpen. (This would be even more true if the AI can ever be taught to stop bringing in relievers for one batter with no platoon advantage to be gained.) Therefore, I am considering turning it on for the NL in 2018 which would make my league more fictional than most (a good thing IMO). Carpenter would be my DH. The only thing stopping me is that I like managing the NL style game, but I have historical leagues for that. |

Orcin, I was about to do the same. Especially the DH.
