Good catch. I had not noticed those stripes. Here is the second photo of Hebner that was listed as 1973 by Topps Vault. I notice that he does not have the Clemente patch on his left sleeve. Could this really be from 1974 or 1975? Did the Pirates have stripes on the pants in those years?

David DeJesus - Washington 2013

Watching the game tonight made me realize that David DeJesus of the Rays was with the Nationals for exactly 3 games after starting with the Cubs. This photo of DeJesus from one of those three games might be rare some day.

Great stuff!

Continuing in the spirit of '73, might anyone have a time specific Bake McBride for that year with the Cards?

Perhaps the actual Topps image from his rookie card? The other photo listed is apparently from 1974 however I would like a suitable non action if possible...thx!

I do not have a 1973 photo for McBride but do have this 1974 and 1975 if they help any.

Lou Bierbauer - 1886

Here is the player just mentioned on the game tonight; Lou Bierbauer. He signed with Pittsburgh rather than return to Philadelphia when the old Players' League folded. The Philadelphia executives called this a "piratical move." The Pittsburgh team adopted the name Pirates and wore it with pride.

Another Tony Horton

Sometime ago, we posted some Tony Horton photos with the Cleveland Indians. I just discovered that I had this image of the 1968 Kahn's card of Horton which I do not believe that we have posted yet.

Kevin Kiermaier (September 30, 2013 - MLB Debut)

I was at this game and noticed Kiermaier sitting in the dugout about the 2nd or 3rd inning. My first thought was "who the hell is that?" So I took a few pictures. Then in the 9th, I noticed him coming onto the field and since I thought there was at least a chance it was his MLB debut I got my camera out and took about 100 more photos of him running onto the field, warming up, standing in the outfield ready for action, and even on the run as he was backing up a play to left field. Here are some of the better ones:

Thank You!

Thank You to Merkle for showing us the real John Lamb after all these years of Jim McKee posing as Lamb! The real John Lamb has now stood up.

Thank you to Expos 1969-2004 for the continued fabulous Expos photos. I think the Montreal Expos took more beautiful photos through the years and made them available to fans through magazines, post cards, etc. than any other team of the era. Kudos to their promotional department and fan relations staff for all the excellent work.

Larry Brown - 1963

Larry Brown was the brother of Dick Brown. Dick Brown tragically died of a brain tumor in 1970. Here are three Topps Vault images of Larry Brown from 1969.
