Installing to an External Drive
Does anyone know of a reason I can't install to an external hard drive. I switch between computer systems and it makes my life a whole lot easier if I can do that.

Mainly because typically, your external hard drive doesn't have an operating system. What you could do though, is copy your saved files manually to the external drive and go between computers that way and carry around your league files. The OOTP program itself would need to be installed on both computers though. |

Using VMware thin app, you could install on a flash drive amd run the game from there. It will work on any computer that has the two active licenses installed. It's not an easy process but I did use it on ootp18. So the program and your saved games are on the external hard drive.

I know that this thread is probably dead, but I wanted to share how I fixed this problem, because I didn't see it anywhere on the internet. Basically the problem was laying where I least expected it, it was the operating system. In the end I changed it to photon os, and everything magically worked. The thing is that Photon OS is created by VMware, and it is more optimized for using VMware, hence it fixed the problem for me. I know that this fix might not work for everyone, but I will leave it here in case anyone has the same problem, and you won't have to search how to repair it for weeks like I did.
