It seems all my high cards are going to be pitching staff.

They're all the same auction house. You can guaranteed get 15k for it, and frankly I'd aim for 25-30k. Baker is one of the best 3B out there, as good as or better than any of the modern Diamond 3B.

15k is the "sell in the next 24-48 hours" price.

25-30k is the "sell sometime in the next week" price.

As I am interested in bidding for the card, I shouldn't offer any advice as to what you should list it at. I don't want to be accused of collusion or anything like that.

But, what Sansterre says is true. He really is one of the best 3B in the game.

Haha...

That's cool that it's all the same auction house. One thing I do wish tho, is that when you list a card in the auction house, it remains in your starting lineup until it sells. It's one of the things holding me back as I'm trying to catch up to the leaders, and he is easily my best batter.

With that being said, I'll most likely list him tonight. So get your bidding ready... say between 9 and 10 PM EST Lol.... Isn't that when games end for the day?

edit: Also, it would be cool if you could set reserves like old ebay.... I'd put it on there for 1 and watch the craziness ensue, but knowing my luck, everyone would miss it, and it'd sell for like 8pp

edit edit: although, fair warning, seeing as its getting high reviews, I may list him high enough to where id be satisfied moving him, but nothing insane.

my advice - look at other similar diamond cards, and maybe start a bit too high from those, and if that doesn't sell then lower it in stages

the upside, you maximize your return

the downside, it may not sell and the market may fall out a few days later, but you still have a diamond card

if you offer it too low, sure you get PPs immediately, but you may get significantly less than what a buyer was willing to pay, and that card is gone for good, no takebacks

It's all one auction house. You can click the Actions button to auction him so you can see the auction stats. Just make sure you hit cancel...

Yeah - I did the earlier, and accidentally clicked the sell for 4,000 the first time. But, I do that and it's all zero'd out, meaning there hasn't been one listed yet.

He's killing it in July for me too, 9 games: .382, 5 hr, 8 rbi, 8 r, 2 sb, .432 obp

The only way to list him is sky high (like 6 figure high), if you are able to be rid of him.

I have two teams and there's no Baker in either league. He seems to be extremely rare.

I'll throw a feeler out tonight, see how crazy people will bid. Wonder if Markus can see how many of any certain cards are out there.

For now, I'm calling it Frank Baker 1/1 Gem Mint 10 ;-)

I just checked on my Gabby Hartnett. I got him in my starter pack. There is one other between my two leagues. He has an auction history that is way too low.

I don't know that I can part with him. How do I replace a good defensive catcher that hit .344

There is a Barry Bonds peak listed for 125k...
Now, I'd sell Baker to get Bonds in a heart beat....

Theres also a bronze Matt Joyce listed for 2, with a 100k but it now price.... hmmm....

The Joyce is mine Was doing some testing on things, so needed to list a card I knew was from my team in the auction block. I'm assuming that nobody wants to be generous and donate 100k points to me

Ahhh ok, thought maybe was setting up to do some illegal activities.

And I am listing 1/1 Signature Edition, Mr. Baker, with sweat from one of his games infused into the card, gem mint 10 in approx 5 minutes.

Let's get crazy boys!! (ok in all actuality I just want that Bonds, so it is going to be 100k+, sorry guys, just testing the waters to see how close to Barry I can get)
