That's all of them. I gave each team a ballpark - mostly historical, in a few cases some of the new ones. The Bakers play in the Baker Bowl !

My Owls will play in the Polo Grounds.

I left park effects in operation, while neutralizing stats. I want the parks to make a difference, and to build a team according to the park and what will work.

David Watts, did you notice who I drafted second overall and is now playing left-field and batting clean-up? Al Kaline. I think he will hit very well in the Polo Grounds. Our first draft pick was Montgomery Ward, our SS - he started the Players League, that great strike that almost changed baseball history. Wish they'd won.

Anyway, preseason predictions are for Rochester to win the East, not, surprisingly, Providence, with Sandy Koufax and Barry Bonds. Bobby Bonds is also in the league, and rated higher than his kid for now at least.

We are expected to go 66-96. So with my rotation of Bob Caruthers, Mel Stottlemyre, Dave Steward and my hitters and fielders, I am hoping to confound that prediction.

Oh, the Buffalo team is called the Bisons - that Bunnies thing my daughter made me put in, but she's asleep now, so I could change it. Same with Durham, who are the Bulls of course, not the Deer. I saved a few other teams from some indignities as well, but was glad she was interested enough to help pick team names and logos.

We've started out 1-3, having lost the first two against the Mobile Giants. John Clarkson pitched great but OUR 19th century monster Bob Caruthers got batted around the Polo Grounds.

The good news is that Al Kaline loves the Polo Grounds, and has three homers already. Need the rest of the team to catch up fast.

We have talent in the minors, like Alfonso Soriano, but I prefer to let them develop than panic immediately. Should never look at those preseason predictions.
