Foundation

  • Best of Class is a results only simulation with the top ten boxers from each of the original eight weight classes.

  • It will operate on the principal of the boxers switching championship defenses.

  • Where a boxer did not have a championship contest then five of their best performances will be selected instead.

Competition format

  • There are 10 boxers in the Best of Class per weight class.

  • During the course of a series one boxer's career championship defenses will be fought by all ten boxers.

  • Boxers are ranked by their total performance points in a league table.

  • If there is a tie for the championship, a best of three play-off contest will decide the final rank.

Sounds like a major project.

At the moment I have the number at 842 opponents over the eight weight classes.

Yes I think it will be a very long project but as long as I keep returning I should see it completed.

Also an opportunity to create missing boxer files as I encounter them.
