I've been just messing around, and all the good cards I've pulled, I've sold.

Sold my 100 deGrom to get more packs, and upgrade positions.... and now I wanted a card from the AH that was 3k, so sold Edwin Diaz, and with that extra 1K, I pulled Freddie Freeman out of the pack.

My team is nothing amazing, 2 diamonds, 5 golds.... I just have a feeling when the rosters reset, I won't be able to pull anything good (horror flashbacks from The Show Diamond Dynasty pack luck - in 17 and 18 I sold all my cards when I was 'done' playing for the year... ended up with 300 packs each time, and pulled 0 diamond players)

This is my team right now, because I'm bored.... it isn't the best, but it's players I like....

Like I said, I'm just worried post reset, I get stuck with worse junk then I have now.

Oh, speaking of which... how does the reset work.... I get that the game restarts.. but are we given a random 5 packs, or is it a starter set? Or, do we get nothing and just have to purchase PP???

You get the same thing as when you started the beta, plus any points that you have purchased.

I haven't purchased any points because (thankfully) that option isn't available.

What do you mean you get the same thing as when you started? I don't even remember what it gave me when I first launched.

If you built your team in 2 weeks my guess is you can do it again.

I think everyone is going to feel a bit of that, whether you open packs, use the AH, or a combination of both. Most of us have picked up the types of players we like I'm sure.

In the real game my early goal will just be to re-acquire the team I already have.

So, to be pinpoint accurate, you do not get the same cards but a different set of cards in the 6 starter packs. Which makes me add to this lament:

I'm going to miss these guys but particularly Dustin Pedroia, my first gold card, whom I acquired around midseason. He is tearing up the league! If I had him the full year, I'd be coasting into the playoffs instead of hanging on by my fingernails (click for a larger view).

Yes, you will get different cards. But since it is random, you might get one of your beta cards again. And you can always buy them on the AH at some point.

Yes, unfortunate that we cannot keep our teams when PT goes live. Best, though, after reading about some of the issues and extraordinary feats that have characterized beta. Everybody should start fresh.
