You can go to Create Custom League (fictional League) and use the NHL-AHL-CHL structure now to create a league from scratch.
So one Major League(NHL), one Minor League(AHL) and 3 Major Junior Leagues(CHL). You can also check the box that says use real player and it will populate the teams with the real players rather than fictional ones. |

It would be cool if in future versions we are able to give a teams entire roster/protected list to a created team.

Seems like a lot of work for nothing but I won't complain, Anything done with fictional leagues is an overall plus in my books. |

This setting also allows you to do a fantasy draft of the full NHL rosters. |

I moved 10 NHL teams to the AHL and 10 teams to the ECHL(manually moving players one at a time with player editor) and changed the 20 vacant NHL teams into expansion teams(of course without an expansion draft). I would turn on the no movement clause on most of the players so they wouldn't be sent down or called up to their real life teams. Last edited by Orioles1966; 02-26-2016 at 06:21 AM. |

This was actualy my idea as far as i remember and the dev agreed it could be something doable. What i like with this option is i can play with most real life setting and rules without caring about the players. This is one thing that annoy me a bit when playing with 'real life setting' is that you just know who are the best player around, best prospect in the years to come and etc. Having the league setting with fictional players allow me to discover a new world haha |
