Goaltender Help

Hey guys, I have come to a bit of a brick wall in my game.
My starting G is injured, my back up has now got injured, so I just have my 3rd G in the starting roster.

I dont have any G's in my farm teams to call up and iv'e no money for FA's.
Do I have any options?
Do I need to buy players out to create room for FA money?

This happened to me a few weeks ago. All you can do is change one of your players into a goalie.

Can't you give control to the AI for a few days and see if it finds some shmuck of a goalie for you?....Or, why not just create a few extras and assign them to your teams

the simplest solution is enable commissioner mode and then change any minor league goalie to your team. You can also, with commish mode enabled, initiate a trade for an minor AHL goalie and force the trade - that's probably what i would do.

In the end, as this happened relatively early in the season, I went back and re-started the season! It has changed my approach at the draft though, I now draft at least one goalie every year. That way I can, at least, sign up a youngster and have them in the system ready for call up if the worst should happen!

Finished the season in the Stanley Cup final, only for the Bolts to win in 7! Need to wait a little longer for my 3rd Cup! Haha!

Annoyingly this issue has arisen again, how do you enter commissioner mode? Can you do that during a season?

Yes. Go to the Manager tab, choose manager options. It's a checkbox you can tick off.

Annoyingly? Why would you go back, start a season again, and intentionally not address the lack of goaltending depth you have?

That's just plain dumb.
