Schedule Creation Issue
I created a schedule for my league which I have attached but now am getting an XML error when I import it into OOTP 8. I believe the issue lies in the quotation marks which makes no sense. It's like the game uses a different kind of quotation mark.
I've tried find and replace in word to try and fix the problem but no luck. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help me and explain this issue? I have attached the file. |

Yes, there are different types of quotation marks going on there. Somehow the first ones seem to be just plain (let us say non-directional), but then several lines in you start getting some fancier ones (like opening and closing that have a direction to their point/curl).
Those fancy quotation marks I would guess come from Word or some other word processor. Maybe they are not ISO-8859? More likely they are just not what the game expects. Anyway, try opening the file in just notepad, then do a replace all for the two types of fancy quotation marks. They show up slightly different, though you may have to squint a bit to see that. For each type copy one of those to get rid of and paste that into the replace find what field and use the regular double quote from the keyboard for the with. That will fix the issue. Since I doubt you intended it, check the schedule evaluation after you import it - there are a few teams not playing 162 games and/or not with 81/81 home/away splits. |
