Game Stuck Simulating
Hi OOTP Forums,
My game is stuck in an infinite, "Simulating," error. I'm on an off day, and when I click, "Auto-play until next game," it gets stuck simulating and never stops. No progress bar or anything. Just the normal, "Simulating," screen, showing my league standings. The calendar date in the game is July 30th, so it's not creating a draft pool or special. And I've left it to simulate for over a half an hour without seeing any change. I've been playing this league for 4 years IRL and 18 in-game and would hate to lose it or load up an old backup. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. I can provide specs or game files if necessary. Thank you very much, Glenn |

I haven't run into this before, so it's really hard to give you any useful suggestions offhand.
Could we take a look at the league files to see if they do the same for us? instructions on uploading them are in my sig. Thanks!

I've submitted a ticket, with zip files attached, and also uploaded those files to the ftp site under name: OOTP .lg Files - Glennf66 7.23.18
Thank you for the help, Lukas. |

Thanks. I had a look, and it seems there are a couple problems. First, due to some changes we made in the last patch, in some rare cases the game can loop trying to build a lineup, which is what you are seeing. And second, the Asheville Tourists are incorrectly building their lineup, which causes the rare case you see.
We'll fix these for the next patch. However for the moment, you may need to temporarily take control of their team to fix things. The simplest solution may simple be to edit Hector Chicago to remove his 1B experience, and in that way, he should likely end up just as the backup C and not be placed both there and at 1B. It's possible the same bug could happen with other teams too, but that would likely solve this situation for now. |
