Does a player's height and/or weight matter?

I have a top prospect 2B that is 6'2", but only 130 lbs. That seems really skinny to me. Is this a cosmetic only piece of data, or will this impact his performance?

IIRC Height affects pitchers ratings. Not sure if there are any other effects.

Andrus at 6' 150 lbs: 74, 834, 4.92

It appears that height and weight do not impact performance for SS.

How about 1B
Joseph at 6' 255 lbs: 75, 832, 4.90 (note: 1B = 60)
Joseph at 7' 255 lbs: 74, 828, 4.89 (note: 1B = 80
Joseph at 5' 255 lbs: 73, 844, 4.98 (note: 1B = 35)

Having an extra tall first baseman, didn't seem to help very much
Having an extra short one, did have a bit of a difference.
I would assume 2B is similar to SS

One of the developers mentioned that height is a factor in the First Base defense rating, which is touched-on above.

So, I think there are a number of subtle ways that these attributes impact the game, that may not jump-out at first; sort of one of those *modern-edge* things in OOTP that can be explored and experimented with.

It impacts performance to a certain degree and definitely player development. Overweight players age earlier and lose their defensive abilities much faster.
