Which position would a player with max ratings have the most impact at?
Forgive me for my lack of hockey knowledge but I was just having some fun creating a player who I gave 20's for each rating. I put him at left defender. I just figure he would have the biggest impact as a defender because 1.Defenders play the most minutes 2. He can use his amazing defensive abilities to shut down players and still help us on offense. I figured if I put him at center while he would produce way more offensively he wouldnt have the best overall impact. I also edited his pass/shot ratio to 0 which i suppose makes him shoot way more than pass.
Anyways at defender he finished 2nd in goals with 48 and 2nd in assists with 72 for a total of 120 points which was also 2nd in the league. He was second in shots. 1st in plus minus. 2nd in shots blocked. I guess I could play him at center next year to see if he has more of an impact that way but what do you guys think is the most important position? Or are they all too close to really say which is more important. |

IMHO The two most important postion in modern hockey (depending on your tactics of course) is to have a fast puck moving D and playmaking C.
