How do I get legends like gretzky unretired?

I noticed in the search function they have retired players like gretzky there. Is there a way to unretire him? Or is the only way to go about this is to edit an existing player or create a player and give them the same ability/potential as the player I want to unretire?

I would love too see an unretire feature just so i could have jagr play til hes 50.. I remember seeing somewhere in the forums a dev acknowledge that people want it, but he said they wont be able to put it into this version of fhm so maybe in the future but if im not mistaken we wont get it in fhm 4 :/ I may totally be mistaken though

Yeah, unlikely we'll be able to get an unretire/historical import feature into FHM4. But for a single player it's not difficult to re-create them via editing - just start a historical game sometime in the 80's to get Gretzky in his prime, screenshot his ratings, and edit them into a new player in a modern game.
