Expansion Team logos

Greetings,

I've been scouring the interwebs trying to find a suitable team name & logo combo for a couple expansion teams.

Does anyone have or know about various Iowa or Des Moines expansion team ideas with logos? since the AAA franchise there is the Iowa Cubs, I don't think that is a useable name/logo.

I'm a big fan of the more realistic/modern looking logos but am open to all suggestions. I'm familiar with and use a lot the Lows Fictional set however the Des Moines Monkies doesn't quite hit the spot.

I'm also looking to add a 3rd team in the NYC market, so a Newark/New Jersey based logo or possibly even one in Brooklyn is needed, if anyone is familiar with possible options.

I would probably borrow from the old arena football team... the Iowa barnstormers. Barnstorming tours are such a big part of baseballs history, it works

I'd borrow from history and use the 1970s minor league name Iowa Oaks or from the nicknames of the 1970s IHL minor league hockey teams Des Moines Oak Leafs or Des Moines Capitols. The Des Moines Demons (1925–1935, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana League) works well, too. In fact the Iowa Cubs second identity (Copa de la Diversion) uses the Des Moines Demonios (spanish for Demons) nickname currently...which of course celebrates local Hispanic and Latino culture and heritage.

Brooklyn has a very long & storied baseball history so you could revise one of its former teams: Grays, Atlantics, Robins, Gladiators, Wonders, Eckfords, Hartfords, Excelsior, Dark Blues, Bridegrooms, Superbas, Royal Giants, Eagles

Newark:
- Eagles, Bears, Browns, Peppers, Buffaloes, Eurekas, Adriatics

I dunno how I forgot the Tip-Tops as I use the Federal League all the time and my Brooklyn teams start in Washington Park

My favorite Iowa concept has always been the Iowa Dusters from Daniel Saline's USBL series on the SportsLogos boards. I found a version someone had made for OOTP here:

Thanks, I totally missed that thread somehow and have tried some of those with really bad quality logos. And that goes back to Madden 2000 for some of them
