The Cubs home stand continues with a four game series against the New York Giants. It is an early battle for first place in the National League as the Giants hold a half game lead over the Cubs. The Phillies are then just a half game behind the Cubs and the Pirates are two and a half out of first. This will be the first series of the season between these two teams. There are no American League games scheduled for today.
