Balancing Split Ratings

I've got a whole lot of prospects in my game that have a HUGE discrepancy between their ratings against left-handed pitchers/batters and against right-handed pitchers/batters. Couple examples:

Batter (LHB who's being force-started pretty much every day):

Pitcher (LH starter in rotation):

How do I go about balancing these out a bit? Having them face more batters/pitchers that they're weaker against?

Well, the first thing is that neither of them have such bad splits that they can't play every day (in the case of the hitter) or be starter (in the case of the pitcher).

I'd continue to use the pitcher in your rotation and just see if his splits improve. And I'd leave the hitter in the lineup against lefty starters to see if his splits improve, but know that I might have to pinch hit for him in a big spot against a lefty reliever.

I'll just discuss batters for now. Those splits seem quite normal to me. Most batters IRL have bigger splits.

See below for a comparison with RL players Eddie Murray and Albert Pujols. I realize that OOTP ratings are not an exact match for RL stats but the comparison is still useful. Take note that switch hitters have lower platoon splits in general but that doesn't apply to all skills.

Here's one for pitchers. Not surprisingly the splits are more variable and can be huge. Ferguson Jenkins HoF pitcher known for control walked LHB 77% more often than RHB. Was that deliberate or skill?

The other two should be no mystery.

Thanks for the advice! The consensus appears to be that I should just keep playing them every day. Kinda what I thought, too.

Both players I mentioned do have a lot of room to improve in the future (19 and 23, and in AAA), so they'll eventually even it out just a little bit.

I wouldn't expect them to even out. Players with even splits at a high rating are incredibly rare. I would, however, expect both to be pretty good players based on those ratings you posted.
