Pitcher stamina adjustments

I'm setting up a fictional league and I noticed that there are three places to make adjustments to pitcher stamina:
1. Under Traditional OOTP Player Creation Modifiers, there is a category called "Pitching Stamina"
2. Under the League Totals, there is a category called "Starting Pitcher Stamina"
3. Under the League Totals, there is a category called "Relief Pitcher Stamina"

Does anyone know how these three fields work together?

They don't.

The first governs what stamina ratings are assigned to pitchers for that league, when fictional players are created, but only for fictional players. It basically shifts the distribution curve for talent in one direction or the other.

The second is an on-going adjustment mechanism designed to produce reasonable season-long IPouts stats for starting pitchers for a league as a whole, based on what era you are playing in. You can manually adjust this, if you wish, with the result that total IPouts for SPs during a season will be higher or lower.

The third does nothing. It isn't functional. There are a handful of these vestigial items in the game that Markus turned off (or never turned on) but leaves in the game for some reason.

I can just see this: "Let me tweak this Relief Pitcher Stamina a bit . . . [later] . . . Darn, no effect at all! Let me bump this baby up to 10.000 for the heck of it . . . [later] . . . What the heck? No change? This must be a bug!"

On the boards the next morning, with 48 replies already:

"FOUND HUGE, MAJOR BUG! GAME COMPLETELY BROKEN, USELESS!"
