Question about importing

I run a fictional league and import real historical players off of the master list each season. When the draft pool is announced, the players have no history. For example, I imported Derek Jeter using real stats and he shows up with no history. Zero across the board. My scout says that he's practically worthless and to top it off, he's not drafted by any team. Am I doing something wrong or missing something?

Import your real historical players via only the historical_database.odb or the historical_minor_database.odb. For MLBers, I would use the first one, and for anyone who didn't play MLB, I would use the second one. There's also the Spritze DB, which also can be used for players who did not play MLB. If you just use the master.csv, you won't get any stats to import for the players. All the stats are in the .odb files, therefore you must get your players from there. Use the same technique as you would to import the players with regards to player ID and season year, but definitely use the .odb files. Use the master.csv file to see what the ID and season debut years are, but that's all you should use it for.
