New Schedules: 162 Games schedules for MLB Expansion to 32, 34 & 36 Teams in 3 divisions format

For many years I played OOTP9. I played this game until it became obsolete on my computer. I played (games play by play) starting season 1994 to 2079.

Over that period I proceeded to 3 expansions, going from 30, to 32, to 34 and to 36 teams. I did not had the proper schedules at that time, letting the game generating them. I played like this until I reached 36 teams. Then, I made my own schedules. You can find them here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...65#post3230363 and here https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=280892

The first expansion was adding teams in New Orleans and in Vancouver. I kept the Montreal Expos (I am from Montreal) and kept the Houston Astros in the National League Central. So my MLB went from 554 565 to 565 565.

In the second expansion, I added two more teams in the American League. I added a team in Las Vegas, in the AL-West, and the Washington Senators in the AL-East. MLB then went to 666 565.

Finally, in the third expansion, I added two teams in the National League: Portland in the NL-West and Charlotte in NL-East. MLB was now 666 666.

To reflect this, I have created a set of 162 games schedules for 32, 34 and 36 teams, with or without Inter-League. I wish I had those when I first start expanding.

162 Games for 36 Teams schedules 666 666

36 Teams schedules 666 666

6 games against other 12 teams in league (3H/3A)

No cases of more than 13 straight days without offday

No homestands or roadtrips longer than 10 games

Game times set at 7:05pm 1:05pm 2:05pm 4:05pm Sunday games at 1:05pm

Season begins last Thursday on or after March 28

Season thus ends late September/early October

All-Star Game set for Tuesday of 16th week of season (early-mid July)

With IL:

15 (6H/9A or 9H/9A) or 14 (7H/7A) games against other 5 teams in division
6 games against other 12 teams in league (3H/3A)
3 (3H or /3A) games against 6 teams (2 of each division) in the other subleague

For the all the schedules with IL, every teams plays against teams of all the opposite 3 divisions. Doing the schedules like that, there was no need to generate packs of rotating schedules because every season, all team plays against all the opposite divisions.

162 Games schedules for 32, 34 & 36 Teams in 3 divisions format, IL scattered

I re-designed the Schedules for 32, 34 and 36 teams with IL. In the previous schedules, all the IL series were played at the same time. In this new set, the IL series are scattered all around. IL is now "game series among other game series" rather than " a "happening 2 times a season".

The details are the same as the ones above except for the IL series that are scattered through the schedules.

Again, since teams play opponents in all opposite division, there is no need for rotating pack of schedules.

I use Excel only. Over the years, I developed a few tools in Excel to do my schedules. Still, I put lots of hours to do one schedule.
