Really Short Season Schedule
I have 16-teams (2 leagues with 2 divisions of 4 teams in each, no interleague) that I'd like a 40-game schedule for.
I'd like two-game series vs. each opponent. Each team would play 8 games against each division team and 4 games against each non-division team with. Finally, the All-Star game would be after 30 games or so. The season would start on April 2. Can anyone help me out? Also, is there a program you can use to set it up yourself? I used to use Excel on OOTP6, but it's been a while. I'm new to OOTP8. Thanks, Drew |

The schedule files post-OOTP6 are .lsdl format (XML-style). So they are more sophisticated/complicated/whatever than the OOTP6 .csv format files. If you are used to making a schedule for OOTP6 in Excel, it is not hard to ramp up the end result into the new format. You can check out one attached here in the forum to see the format in action.
For someone else to make a schedule that would work for you, a question - would those two game schedules be only once a week so the season would span 20 weeks, tightly packed like a typical MLB schedule (about 3 series per week) so the season would be over by late May, or something in between? |

First of all, thanks for your help! To answer the question, the league would play the 40-game slate in April and May, finishing around the 20th of May or so.

You can try this.
40 game schedule beginning April 2, ending May 19. All Star game can be scheduled for May 5th (after the 28th game.) 2 game series and with an occasional game off. Teams have different days off. Please try it out before applying to your real league.
