Uniform/logo/parks request - The Iowa Baseball Confederacy
I've been looking for a new league idea for OOTP 17. I've had some great ones over the years - a tiny four team league that played a tournament based in Italy, a city league based on various guilds, and so on. I just started reading WP Kinsella's The Iowa Baseball Confederacy - what a great book about basically an endless baseball game between an amateur team in Iowa and the 1908 Chicago Cubs. I would love to do a league based on the book.
The teams are: Big Inning Blue Cut Shoo Fly Husk Frank Pierce Iowa City If someone was willing, I would love to get a set of original 1900s uniforms and team/league logos for the Confederacy. Also, has someone already made ballparks that look more like local fields than stadiums that I might be able to use? I appreciate any help that you guys might be able to provide! Thanks for the consideration! |

Still looking good - I am pulling together some of Henry's (I think) old ballparks from way back when on the forum. This is going to be a pretty cool league.

I was out of town for work for a few days, so please forgive the late reply. These are completely amazing!! I just plugged them into my league and it really came to life. So, thank you again!

Just found this book in a box of old stuff from way back when I was a teenager. Got misty eyed reading the first few pages again, and Kinsella's other book, Box Socials. I'm Canadian, and even I didn't know he was Canadian until he died.
Anyway, just thought I'd revive this thread to say this was an awesome book back then, and I'm going to re-read it. I may borrow these logos and turn them into a feeder league, or just run a save on its own. Thanks fellas! Great artwork and great uniforms!
