New York finishes at 91-71 and will be the #2 seed in the NC playoffs. They will face fellow OL opposition Harbour Town Falcons (88-74) in the divisional round. In the last two trips to the LDS, the Patriots are 0-6 and will be looking to lose that 0 and escape from Silver at the 8th time of asking.
We'll have full coverage of the Patriots playoff run tomorrow. |

2035 NC Divisional Round Game 1
Harbour Town Falcons vs New York Patriots Busby Outduels Gubicza, Patriots Steve Busby was all the Harbour Town Falcons needed in game 1, as he went 8 innings and scattered just 5 hits. The winning run came in the very first inning as Rod Carew hit a sacrifice fly, bringing Tim Raines in. New York could not figure out how to get anything going in this one, as they failed to get a runner past 2nd base all game. "Hard to win when you can't get anyone past 2nd base" Magus said after the loss, already looking fairly resigned to his fate of a potential 5th early playoff exit at this level. WP - Busby (1-0) LP - Gubicza (0-1) SV - Plesac (1) Harbour Town leads series 1-0 Last edited by Magus978; 07-21-2019 at 12:09 PM. |

2035 NC Divisional Round Game 2 (HT lead 1-0)
Harbour Town Falcons vs New York Patriots Carew Smokes Patriots as Falcons Coast to 2-0 Lead New York's divisional round struggles have no end in sight as Rod Carew lit the Patriots up for 3 hits and a solo HR as his Harbour Town Falcons took a 2-0 series lead by smashing the Patriots 8-1. New York had their chances as they registered 12 hits, but were kept off the scoreboard by a dominant Denny Neagle. After the game, a frustrated Magus was running out of words to describe his team's poor playoff form. "I think we're cursed, baby. There's just nothing we can do once we get to this point. Maybe we're just destined to never win a playoff series again." Magus said of their bad playoff results. New York are in must-win territory from here, as they'll have to travel to Harbour Town for Game 3 with Tommy John lined up to start. WP - Neagle (1-0) LP - Harder (0-1) Harbour Town lead series 2-0 |

2035 NC Divisional Round - Game 3 (HT leads 2-0)
New York Patriots vs Harbour Town Falcons The End - 7-Run 7th Condemns Patriots to 3rd Straight Divisional Round Sweep It was all going well until the 7th inning. It's an inning that the New York Patriots will look back on and feel like throwing up. Ozzie Smith's bases-clearing double was the official death knell for the Patriots, as the Harbour Town Falcons sweep New York right out of the playoffs 8-3. "I genuinely don't know what to say anymore. If this is the best we can do, then I would rather we didn't bother" A frustrated Magus tearfully said to reporters after the Patriots' 9th straight divisional round loss, which officially confirms the Patriots to a 9th week of Silver level play. WP - J. Fernandez (1-0) LP - John (0-1) Harbour Town wins series 3-0 |
