Final 1919 Standings
The Washington Senators beat both the Boston Red Sox and the St Louis Browns to claim the American League title. Oscar Charleston (.320, 14 HR, 107 RBIs) was the hero,
hitting for the cycle in a 9-6 victory over the Brown. The Senators will take on the Boston Braves in a best of 9 series. The Braces last appear in the World Series back in 1906
as the Boston Beaneaters, in which they lost to the Cleveland Naps. Washington is making their 3rd appearance in the past 4 years. Having won it all in 1916 and 1917, the Senators
are hoping for their 7th Championship.

There are 15 games or so left in the American League, while 10 remain in the National League. Babe Ruth (Boston Braves) hit home run #30 and needs just 1 more to tie Roger
Connor's single season mark from 1889.
