Rivalries

I love how fleshed out the OOTP team has made Team Chemistry and I think one of the next conceivable places to go would be to add rivalries. Think Yankees and Red Sox.

Along with some dialogue from the announcers talking about it, you could see a higher rate of hit batsmen or a higher chance of a bench clearing brawl and some dialogue leading into or out of the rivalry.

Might be a little too involved, but I love anything that gives the pretend players personality and increases immersiveness

I love this idea too and to add to it, even have special articles in the news section when rivals are playing each other. Maybe heated words from interviews used in the articles.

Agee. I've posted on this previously. I'd like to see a spot in team settings where a team can add up to 3 rivals (1/2/3).

Possible effects:
Increase chance of news story generated, HBP/Brawls
Increased attendance
Owner Goals surrounding record vs rivals
Decrease chance of player signing contract with rival
