AI still not really trading draft picks in version 2.3.19

after two different 15 year nhl sims the only time i saw the ai trade draft picks is when it was a salary dump and then the player was usually traded for a 3rd/4th round pick...i did see a couple of trades after year 10 involving 2nd rounders but not once in both sims did a 1st round draft get traded...i have seen the occasional 6th or 7th round pick involved in trades later on in the sim.

in the junior leagues ai trading is great the first 2 years...i saw a lot of trades involving 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders however as the years went on the ai seemed to get away from trading early round draft picks and most deals only involved late round picks.

...all in all though this is a great game and here's hoping the ai trading gets fixed to make it a phenomenal game!!

well....draft picks are getting traded...even your post reflects that...but you're right...not enough first round picks getting traded and perhaps not enough picks as a whole,

but I see picks get traded irregularly enough...lol

Made a change that'll appear in the next update that should loosen up the trading of low-round picks in the first years of the game. Getting more high picks traded will be a little more complicated, but I have a couple of ideas in that area.

JeffR (and all the OOTP staff): I appreciate your efforts to fix/improve FHM2. I'll admit I was surprised at first at some of the issues I encountered or saw that others had encountered, but I quickly came to realize that this is an incredibly complex product, and errors and oversights are bound to occur. Thanks for your diligence and patience with the small minority of purchasers who turn less-than-civil.

Having said that, I'm really hoping you can accomplish two "fixes" sooner rather than later: 1) the trading AI, so that trades involving high-round draft choices (1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds) will become more frequent. Perhaps you can even have it on a sliding "frequency" scale, like you do with injuries; and 2) a "Team Depth Chart" screen.

Other than that, carry on!
