AI still not trading draft picks in version 2.2.9

i've simmed 5 seasons in the nhl and 431 trades were made during that time and only 3 of those trades invovled a draft pick...the junior leagues are a little better, however after the 3rd season most of the trades are similar to trades in the nhl that involve just players and the rights to players, very few draft picks were traded.

It appears to mainly be a data issue with the 2016 draft prospects being rated a little too highly, which throws off the AI's method of valuing the picks for that draft. Working on resolving that, but in the meantime you should see the situation begin to correct itself as the years pass in the game.

...if it is a data issue, wouldn't toning down all current and future prospects eliminate this problem...because i have simmed 10 seasons and noticed that the problem still exists (over 900 trades in total in 10 years and only 13 of them involved a draft pick)

Strange. I saw several trades in later years involving picks.

That said, rarely ever good (R1 or R2 picks).

The game is very stingy when it comes to trading picks. Would like to see the AI valuation of those picks lowered, slightly.

Typically, you see at least 4-6 trades of 1st round picks, but the number of trades involving 2nd rounders is just staggering.
