Online league newbie question

I am about to enter into my first online league and I have a question.

I have been looking at my league's website, like standings, news articles, player stats, etc..

Now, when I eventually open up my own copy of OOTP on my computer, will I see all of these same things? Or do I only see information about my own team so I can make changes then export them to the commish?

Thanks

You see everything in OOTP that you see in a solo league. It's all there. Once a sim is run and you do an in game update, you'll see current standings, stats, etc, etc.

Thanks Bruce,

My followup question is then why do leagues bother having all of that info on the website if every player can just look at it from his own version of the game?

Well, some leagues don't require you to own the game, although they're few and far between. In that case, the web site would be your only resource for that info.

A lot of people like to browse through their team stats and what not while they are at work, and don't have a copy of OOTP on the work computer.

It adds a lot to the league website.

Those are just a few reasons, there's many more.

That's true, I didn't think of the browsing while you're away from your home PC aspect.

I suppose that will be extra nice for the league I'm joining as they do sims at 12:00 p.m. and I can't check it from home.

Thanks again for the quick answer

Also, when the player page is online, you can hyperlink the player page. This is especially handy for trade block posts, etc.

When you have that particular league installed into your home version of OOTP, you'll be able to see standings, news articles, and all information for all teams, except that every team will have a (very) limited amount of confidential info that you won't have access to.
