OOTP at the ASG

If anyone is in or around Cleveland, come visit OOTP at the All-Star fanfest. Rich, TJ, Kris, and myself will be on the booth to hear from you. Follow us on our channels too for more fun. It's gonna be a blast of a weekend!

Wish you guys would have gone in Cincinnati a few years ago. I was at that All Star Fan Fest.

Is your booth inside the Convention Center? I have a bunch of friends working/volunteering down there this weekend and I was thinking about coming down for some of the festivities, but was not sure...this may tip the scales

Yes, our booth is right in the heart of the convention center at the Play Ball Park. Look for the Digital Games and Apps sign.

This is slightly embarrassing, but I am going to tell it anyway, I don't post here that much anyway, so what do I have to lose?

I work downtown and had been thinking about buying a ticket and stopping in one day to the Play Ballpark. I made the trip yesterday evening. I loved a lot of exhibits, especially a lot of the historical stuff and getting to check out the award trophies.

Anyway, I didn't find you guys right away but as I was making my way around the floor I noticed the digital technology area, with the screens for RBI Baseball and MLB the Show and the like, and then the taglines for "Predicted World Series Champions" and so on. And sitting right below that sign was a gentleman that looked familiar but I couldn't place. I kept walking and probably 15 seconds later I realized... "that was probably Rich Grisham, I think I recognize him from being on the MLB Network."

I tend to lose my nerve when approaching people (I know its ridiculous) so I told myself if I circle back around I might introduce myself and just give my compliments on the game (honestly, I have some Press Row Podcast questions too to go along with OOTP talk, but that's neither here nor there).

Anyway, when I came back around another man in a polo shirt had approached Rich and they ended up walking over to the VR Home Run Derby exhibit. My guess is that Rich had asked to try it out before the night was over!

So I missed my shot to talk to Rich. I'm not mad whatsoever. I had a great time at the Convention Center and just like I said, wanted to pay my compliments more than anything else.

Thanks for being a part of putting such a great game together. I'm having an absolute blast trying to put the 1930s Red Sox together into a decent team (and failing so far! I don't have Ted Williams!). I hope progress is being made on OOTP Go, I'd love to be able to sit on the couch, watch the Indians and play OOTP on my tablet.

Hope you guys have enjoyed our city. Cleveland's a hidden gem, IMO.

Oh no! I'm so bummed we missed each other. That was near the end of the day Monday - and that moment you describe was when one of our MLB partners asked me if I wanted to try Home Run Derby VR (to which I immediately said yes!) and then proceeded to embarrass myself by only hitting 3 home runs. Oh well!

I'd love to have that conversation with you! You can always feel free to ask me anything.

Cleveland is a fantastic, wonderful city. My first time there and it was a delight. I will return!

Thanks for being a fan I tend to be shy too, but next time just pop by and say hi. One guy had Kris sign a ball for him, another recognized TJ from a podcast. Cleveland's been a lot of fun!
