This is tooo funny. I have noticed that a long time ago and would change my team because of it. People in Orcins league would make fun of it but when I got rid of the guy the team would come back to life. This happen to much to be a coincidence so I always rolled with it. I would get a new player and if my team did not play well with him I got rid of him and the team would get back to winning. I am to superstitious not to believe it actually happens but I would see it over and over again. I know it is impossible but it works for me . The player would have great attributes but if my team performed bad with him I would dump him and almost immediately the team would come back to life again. ?????

And last but not least. I finally have A Doctors appointment this morning. I have a lump in my throat and it is hard to swallow. I have had it about two weeks now and I was hoping it would just go away. The last couple of days I have had no energy to write or post as you probably have noticed. Finally I am taking care of it. I am so afraid of the C word that I keep from going to Doctors sometime.I know this is dumb but I have seen what that Disease did to my Mother and cousin and I am so afraid of it. Anyhow, I go at 10 so hopefully tomorrow I will be back posting again. I did my 7 day lineup and hopefully I will be back full time later today. Until then Gooooooo Zorros. Lol

As we get closer to the playoffs, here is a little recap of where we are

AC West: An unbelievable season for some of the teams in the AC West.
The San Diego Chargers with their average team but wicked park have been able to collect win after win against
teams that look stronger on paper. Well done!!!

My own Base Thieves continue to be 8.5 games back and can't seem to catch up. Too many series go the wrong
way. At this point, it will be the San Diego Chargers taking the division and one of the three other teams
(Florida Phoenix, Whalebacks, and Base Thieves) taking a wild card spot.



AC Central: Another unexpected result. The Redlegs have continued to keep the Zorros from the top spot
and are currently 4 games ahead. All other teams have fallen out of contention already.
Hopefully Zorro can turn things around and snap out of his losing streaks and get back to playing
above .500 (4-6 in the last 10 games).


AC East: The Area X Alchemists have a 8.5 game lead and look destined for the playoffs.
Unfortunately, the Titans have a tough September schedule so it will be hard for them to catch up.


NC West:
Two teams are still fighting for the division title (Perfectos and Snowbirds).
Both teams are just 2.5 games apart from each other.
The team that drops to the second spot, will have to fight off 4 other teams for the
second wild card spot. Game 163 ?


NC Central:
The NC Central has 3 teams fighting for the top spot (Suns, Dragons, and Falcons).
All three teams are just 2.5 games apart and may even have a 4th team join them (Radium Curies),
who are currently 4.5 games behind.
I am surprised I did not end up in this division having found the Falcons for several seasons in a row.


NC East:
Two teams are in a battle for the top spot (Oakland Keys and Meltdown).
At this point, the Oakland Keys hold the top spot while the Meltdown team dominates the
wild card competition (+7).


Good luck to all teams still trying to secure a playoff spot.


On a separate note, we have no player near the HR record. George Brett (27) and Mike Trout (28) are too far
to get there with just one month to go.
For the first time, Pedro Martinez is not in the top pitching WAR spot. He is only 4th with Schilling (2x) and
Red Ruffing ahead of him.

I want to thank everyone for their very nice words of encouragement. I really appreciate it. I have a very bad infection (He thinks) he gave me some strong antibiotics to take for 10 days, If that does not do it I have to go to a specialist. (All I cared about was it not being the C word) I prey this gets rid of it and all I care about is no C please. Lol. These antibiotics knock me out. I slept for 14 hours after taking them so I will be out of commission for a couple of days. Thank God for the 7 day lineup but I Am afraid Rocky Point will be on their own today. Also Guerrero has 2972 hits I wanted to see him get his 3000, But I will miss that. Just can’t stay awake. Last but not least I see Joe has his team a half game out for a Wild Card spot. GREAT JOB JOE. I really thought you were in trouble . Ye of little faith is me. We play Cincinnati 7 times this month but so far they have proven they are the better team this season. But we will see. I just want to get into the playoffs where any thing can happen. Thank you all again I really appreciated that and will see you soon.

Battles still going on:
1. Redlegs and Zorros fighting for the top AC Central division spot. Both teams are just 1 game apart.
2. Base Thieves now 2.5 games behind division leader San Diego Chargers but they wont meet again.
3. Base Thieves, Whalebacks and Phoenix within 2..5 games of each other for the last wild card spot.
Base Thieves have to visit the Whalebacks for 3 games and don't have a good record in their park.

4. Snowbirds and Perfectos still fighting for the top spot. Perfectos are 4 games behind.
5. NC Central has 3 teams that are just 2.5 games apart (Suns, Dragons, and Falcons).
6. Meltdown and Oakland Keys are fighting for the NC East title. Losing team wins the top wild card spot.

More last minute drama...for those still following the action.

1. Redlegs and Zorros are still fighting. Both teams are now tied.

Please let the Zorros win. I can not meet Zorro in the wild car game.
This is NOT what we agreed upon when we said we would meet in the finals and battle for a championship.
So far...we failed on our goal. We almost made it but Zorro decided to rest Perfect Pedro and lost in the semi finals. We will have to work harder on that goal to meet in the finals.


2. Base Thieves are now just 2.5 games behind San Diego Chargers for the AC West division title and are 1 game ahead in the wild card race with the Florida Phoenix keeping up (7-3 in L10).


3. Those darn wicked ballpark Dragons have done it again. They are in the lead in the NC Central with both the Suns (.50) and Falcons (1.5) trying to catch up.


4. Oakland Keys are now 2 games ahead and destined to take the title.


But don't count out the Meltdown. They are a good team and could easily cruise to the finals.

As usual there are some incredible tight battles down the stretch in various leagues.


In P401 my Gold Gryphons have now clinched the second wild card spot in the AC but are 3 games now behind the division leading Gothenburg Frogs. Another great season for this team regardless of how things finish, but a couple heavyweights to get through now, most notably the 3-time PL champion Big Bang Quasars who we'll meet in the WC game by the looks of things. Anything can happen in one game so I won't say impossible!


In P411 my Blue Gryphons are clinging with teeth and nails to the second wild card spot in the AC, 1 game up on the Tassie Devils. But the story for me in this league is that we trail the division leading Oakland Oatboys by 4. This time features only defensive gems along with a great pitching staff. There are no Babe Ruths or Barry Bonds or Cy Seymour or Dan Brouthers to be found. Instead a team loaded with Aparicio, Simmons, 97 Trout, Lemon, Pena, and other top defensive players, along with a great strategy. I've been chasing them all season. Many kudos need to go to manager "bibu" for really figuring out a different way to be competitive at perfect. His ballpark factors are obviously key to his success, with way lowered extra base hits and lefty average. And he's got me by 4 games in the standings now. Two games to go to try to earn the WC spot and hopefully capture some post season momentum.

Update: Playoffs are set. Base Thieves went a perfect 7-0 this season at home against the Florida Phoenix and will meet Zorro tomorrow.


Strangely, two teams that took division titles this season were also filled with Silver/Gold defensive players. I applaud the managers and the developers for making this happen. Very cool!!!!!

I had a much better offensive option with King Kelly/Cobb/Seymour but when I switched back to the much weaker 92 Griffey and adopted a better defensive approach, I went back to 16-4
during the last part of the month and climbed back into the race (after being back almost 8-10 games for most of the week).

PT20 will be a fun playoff weekend.
All my opponents have an average of 18-20 Perfect cards and very deep reserves.

My team in PT20 are the Base Destroyers.
I already met the Xtreme team last season. Anyone else battling their way to Perfect league in PT20 or already reached that level?
