Can't start any games at all
A bought FHM2 (and also OOTP 16) this week and I can't start any games in FHM2 at all. I opened a support ticket a couple days ago but have no response yet so am asking here if anyone has come across this issue.
Version: 2.2 Build 9 Steam I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but have had no luck. I get two errors. When I click on New Game I get "Could not create game folder!" When I click on New Custom Game I get "Invalid Database Version!" (New Historical Game also gives this error) Mixed with my OOTP issues, starting to think maybe I shouldn't have bought them on Steam (i usually bought it from the site). |

That message means it's likely something to do with Windows User Account Control not letting you write files to the save directory, which needs to happen to start a game. Do you have administrator rights on the computer you've installed the game on?

I do. I refunded my Steam purchase and bought directly from the site. I ran the game as administrator and was able to get it going. I can now happily play my games this weekend

I'm having the same issue with my steam purchase and there is no option to run the game as admin. Advice?

Seems that the best advice is what he said he did... go this refund from the steam purchase and then buy it off the website instead

I couldn't get it going even running as administrator via Steam so just got a refund and bought it off site and it works fine. Not sure what the exact issue was or how it can be resolved but I didn't want to mess around with it so just went that route.
