Random Debut, Draft question

Under rules you can set draft players for X rounds and import players for y rounds. If you set it to draft players for 5 rounds but to import players for 6 or more rounds, what happens to the players not drafted? Do they become free agents? Do they go back into the game to be on a future draft list? Are they deleted from the game since they were not drafted?

Thank you in advance for your reply and have a wonderful week.

Sorry to bump an old post, but I'm running into some trouble again with random debut. I started a random debut league in 1901 using all default settings and default expansion & such. I think about 20 years in the draft classes suddenly started being very old. Like Aaron Judge coming into the league in 1932 as a 62-year old rookie. Has anyone experienced this? Just a glitch? I should have kept the save but I just deleted it and started a new one.

I had run into something like this before when I was experimenting with having other major leagues in other countries all starting at the beginning of the game so I dropped those and just went with default settings.

Hmmm...That's got to be something in your settings. I have no idea what, but that's where I'd look first. It's gotta suck to have to give up on the whole international leagues thing. It's quite possible that random debut only supports the default setup, though I have seen folks use fictional teams, so that may not be it.
