R.I.P. Danny Wildhawke

Only Just read this on another forum

"Sad news I'm afraid.

I'm sorry to have to bring you the sad news of the recent death of Danny Wildhawke11

Danny passed away on 7th May 2010 mercifully peacefully and seemingly without pain, after a 4 week struggle, his wife Rita was by his side at the time, as she had been, often day and night, for most of those weeks."

Just got back off 2 weeks holiday and read this and I am so saddened. Danny and I sent each other quite a few emails over the years about boxing, soccer and computer games. I felt like I got to know him a little bit. He was such a decent guy, I never saw him bad mouth anyone on a forum and he was a knowledgeable boxing fan too.

My heartfelt condolences go to his family, may you rest in peace Danny, you will not be forgotten.

He will be sadly missed and my condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
Rest in Peace Danny.

This is very sad news indeed ... I considered Danny as good of a friend as one can have on the internet ... We sent over 100 PM's back and forth over the years and I am better for them. He was a great man and a great boxing fan. I will miss him very much.

This is just horrible news. We exchanged quite a few PM's before and during the time of his illness. I never met the man personally, but consider him a good friend none the less.

He was a kind man who always presented things in a positive light and will always be a treasured member our community here. I was reading our last PM before I posted in this thread and I am in tears right now. Its amazing how sometimes those you have never met, can still have such a powerful effect on you.

I have quoted excerpt of that last PM below as it shows what kind of a man he was. Even in his darkest hour he refused to get down and cared for others more than himself.

Quote:
Thanks for caring my friend. In myself im ok not in pain. So you just look after your beautiful family and give them all a big HUGfrom me. (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( HUGS))))))))))))))))))))
Danny
A big loss not only for those who knew him, but for the World. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

In Memory of Danny

RIP Buddy, you will forever be missed!

I often would PM Danny myself, and he never failed to answer. This will leave a void in our forum, as he was respected by all of us.

He was a super-cool guy and I had a lot of fun following his posts throughout the years. He was both knowledgable and informative. I felt so bad when he apologized for having to give us the bad news of his illness. All I can do is shake my head in sadness....

For Danny:

God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
And whispered "Come with Me."
With tearful eyes we watched
him suffer
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

This is truly sad news. In the last PM Danny sent me he told me that he considers me to be his friend. We had several nice conversations thru PM, but that last one really meant a lot to me... and means even more now. I know he loved his wife with all his heart and I'm glad that she was there by his side when he passed away. Rest in Peace Danny.

This really shook me up.

About the only good that comes from this is knowing I'll have someone to talk boxing with when my turn comes.

Slan, Danny-Boyo!
