Payroll below Salary Floor - can't advance day
Whenever I try to use 'Finish Today' I get the message that I'm below the Salary Floor.
I can't advance to another day. How do I advance to another day, or immediately increase my salaries so I'm not below the salary floor? Right now I can do nothing because I keep getting the 'You're under the Salary Floor' message whenever I try to advance to another day. And I can't immediately sign players so I can't get above the salary floor. Thank you. |

It should allow you to sign players immediately if you're in a state where you can advance the game. What's happening when you try that? And what are the other circumstances of the game - NHL presumably, but historical or modern, and PtG or Sandbox?

I'm playing a custom game, NHL, sandbox.
Exactly the same as NHL but using fictional players. I see no place where I can sign players immediately? I looked in the manual but can't find it. Where can I sign players immediately? Thanks. |

I checked 'commissioner mode' but I see no commissioner mode options.
In the Manager Basics page all I see is the commissioner mode selected, no other options. I don't see any of the options from the manual. From the manual: The Manager Options page is used to set administrative preferences for your human general manager identity. Familiarizing yourself with these settings well help you make the game match your style of play. Select Active GM (commissioner mode only) allows the commissioner to take control of each of human players in his league, to do things like make trades between teams at their owners' request. Manage Human GMs (commissioner mode only) allows the commissioner to add, remove, or change the teams of the human players in his league. |

it doesn't just give you a new list of commissioner options, it gives you more options all over, Ex: if you select a player you should now have an edit tab.You can also force trades

What he means is when you offer a UFA a contract, they should sign right away rather than thinking about it for 2-3 days.

This is just a spitball idea here - if you're playing in commissioner mode anyway, couldn't you just increase (via edit) the salary of one of your players by whatever it takes to get over the salary cap for the time being?
Maybe that's not even possible - perhaps the game doesn't allow the commish to do that sort of thing, but if you are able to edit the salary, even temporarily, it's one way to get the day done - you could undo it and move on to more realistic ways of getting over the cap after that.
