Talk about absolutely dominating Major Junior..
My god..
Zack Pond (Pittsburgh draft pick) of the QMJHL's champion Charlottetown Islanders finished the 2054-2055 season with 109! goals in in 67 games. He is completely unedited and only 2.5 potential so I doubt he'll make much noise in the NHL..but holy crap. The season was good for 3rd all-time in league history behind only Mario Lemieux and Guy Lafleur. How impressive is that?

Wow. I've never seen a player dominate in junior like that. Incredible find. Thanks for sharing.

Funny thing is that he was never signed to an ELC. Like I said though, only 2.5 potential so not surprising. Still would have liked to see him signed to an ELC though strictly based on that season alone, for realism.
He ended up signing a 1 year deal with the Providence Bruins of the AHL where he sits 10-3-5-8 with a 63 game rating in early November. He was drafted 157th overall in 2053 by Pittsburgh. Neron was actually drafted 1st overall by the Canucks in that same draft. He cracked their lineup for the 55/56 season and has 4 points in 14 games currently.

Cool little twist: Those same Penguins who didn't give him an ELC must have had a change of heart, because a few weeks into the season they signed him as a UFA and transferred him from Providence to their own AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre. He finished the AHL season with 33 goals and 57 points.
His potential also jumped up from 2.5 to 3. Will be interesting to see if he can crack the Pens lineup in the fall.
