What's more amazing? The catch? Or the fact he can overthrow 1st from center by about 25-30 ft?

Having runners on the corners and one out against Blake Snell, Billy Hamilton runs the Royals into a 1-3-5-2-3-4 double play. You will soon see this on the MLB.com frontpage.

Isn't running his only asset? Woof.

Baseball suspends retired player.

In other sports news, Bill Belichek fined Gronk for missing mandatory off season workouts.

Terrance Gore has been picked off 4 times this season as well. for a guy who is mostly a pinch runner that's just horrible

oh those crazy Royals....

Hunter Dozier leading the AL in batting avg and slugging, and 2nd in WAR
Whit Merrifield and Adalberto Mondesi tied for MLB lead intriples
Mondesi tied for 2nd in MLB for Stolen bases(probly would be leading but he gets too many doubles and triples, limiting hisSB opportunities, lol)
Mondesi tied for AL lead in RBI’s
Alex Gordon lead MLB in HBP
Gordon and Mondesi tied for MLB lead in Sac Flies

Royals as a team lead MLB in triples by far with 21 (marlins and Indians each have ZERO as ateam)
Royals 2nd in MLB in defense double plays
Royals 1st in MLB in fielding %
Royals 1st in MLB in least errors committed
Royals lineup spots 1-4 are 2nd best behindAstros

...

Royals have a -3 run differential

...

And they are 13-24 as a team in last place

What in the hell has happened to Sunday Night Baseball? Tonight is the first time I've watched in probably a decade. The last person I want to see or hear from is A-Roid. And who is Jessica Mendoza and why is she in the booth? What an absolute garbage telecast. I am now even more thankful for the guys who do our Brewers games with Fox Sports Wisconsin.

Edwin Jackson is this generation's Ray Burris except with more uniforms. Their career arcs and totals are uncannily similar. One of them went 108-134 with an ERA+ of 92. The other went 104-123 with an ERA+ of 91. And both have a reputation for being really good dudes, which may help explain why they were always able to find a landing spot despite some rather pedestrian numbers.

Joey Gallo is batting .290! .290!

What kind of world are we living in where that is possible? He's also on pace for a 9 WAR season. Crazy cool, indeed.

I'm keeping an eye out as well. Sports isn't like most businesses. Experience and loyalty aren't as valued as youth and talent. A player is more productive in his early mid 20's-early 30's. It isn't fair that the timeframe for their highest earning power is shortened up by clubs seeking cheaper salary certainty. Of course, I fully expect the owners to combat this "troublesome" disruption by no longer allowing Americans to be designated "foreign".
