Also, in the league history index under teams where it shows all time record, win percentage, playoffs, and champions it would be cool to add another tab shows number of time in the finals. I like to see how many championships a team won as well as how many times they have been in the finals.

I would like each league to have its own Hall of Fame. Seems like a simple thing, don't know why it hasn't been done yet.

A couple of things that I'd like to imagine wouldn't be overly exerting to add to the game (but I'm no expert):

1. Ability to add roman numerals as a suffix to the chapmionship every year, a la the Super Bowl. So in my league I can have the "World Series XVI" or something.

2. Fleshing out of the staff system. Would love to be able to see managers have their own numbers and be able to make the Hall of Fame. Furthermore, I'd really like to be able to take a look at a "Managerial history" for a given team kind of like how I can for players.

I think that what I would most like to see is the ability to create a Custom league and easily populate it with current players. The ability to do it with or without their current salary situation would be an excellent option as well.

I like to play with custom leagues, including promotion relegation leagues and I would love to be able to use current players, or even players from an historical year.

Second. I'd also like to see history on the coach's page - i.e., won a World Series, was named Manager of the Year, got fired, etc.

I'd like to see the tracking of more all time records such as: Most runs scored by a team and combined teams in a single game; Most hits by a team and combined teams in a single game; Most HR hit by a team and combined teams in a single game; most runs scored in an inning by a team; longest game played; longest winning and losing streak; Most consecutive scoreless innings pitched.

Not to restart this debate, but... it seems like statcast information (spin rate on pitches, sprint speed, route efficiency, launch angle etc.) are going to be key factors in public scouting, and are already being used by teams in developing players. I think if the game is going to keep up with reality those will have to be incorporated soonish.

Minor leagues before 1914... the players are there starting in 1886 so why not? It isn't different than adding the FL in 1914 or the Negro Leagues.
Yes to all this. It would also add a ton of value to historical games to be able to use the historical minor league database without having to use the historical league structure.

A minor addition that would improve historical immersion: player-managers. It was the most common arrangement in the game for decades.

But, generally, there's not much else to ask for. The is an amazing game!

Eventually would like to see umpires on the game field indicating safe/out.
I know some want more and more stats but for me that just adds clutter so would like the option to delete some stats from the games.
May not be possible but on game screen with the batter/pitcher info-would like to make that more customizable. For instance, I might not want to see the rating but might want to see career or last year stats in that area. I know I can expand it but then I have a big block and I still have the ratings taking up space.

Improvements

I put some of these in a different thread, before I knew this thread exhisted. I apoligize for being redundent.

I am a casual player of the game and I really enjoy it!

- I typically look for players to add to my team through the "MLB Player List" tab. Something that is time consuming is that each time I "trade for player" and then go back to the MLB Player List, it does not go back to the screen at which I had it sorted originally. So I have to go back up, click Starting Pitcher (for example) and then sort by potential. This happens each time I go back to the Player List screen.

- When on the trade screen, it'd be really helpful when in the drop down menu to select a team you're looking to trade with, it showed their current salary cap next to their team name. This would help not having to click on each team to see if they can afford the salary of the player I am trying to trade.

- It would be helpful to "lock" players on the user side of the trade screen. Meaning when I attempt to make a trade with 1 or more players, I have the option to leave them in my offer when selecting another team to trade with. Otherwise, when a trade does not work out with a team; I go to select a new team to trade with and have to go back through my rosters and find the players again I am looking to trade.

- On the arbitration screen at season end, it would be super helpful to simply click a box next to a players name and then be able to offer all those players a minor league contract.

Again, love the game, These suggestions would save me a ton of time the way that I play the game.

Keep up the great work!

Oh, plenty of things. Full disclosure: I did not purchase OOTP 20 so some of this may have been addressed, but based on other posts I've read it doesn't seem so, at least to the point where it would be a worthwhile purchase for me.

I'm a fictional league player but it's basically an MLB environment, so that's where I'm coming from but much of this applies to other game modes to.

1. Statcast-type stats, as somebody posted before. Batted-ball stuff, spin rate, route efficiency, etc. Tie it into scouting and player development. Which brings me to my biggest one...

2. Overhaul the entire player development engine. Make aging curves more realistic... for example, Juan Soto was a star last year at age 19. Even with adjusting player development speed a good deal, I couldn't really replicate things and get some 19, 20, or 21 year old stars.

The way prospects develop and the sort of stats they produce don't seem to correspond to how things are in real life. Look at the top 10 prospects in baseball... guys like Vlad Jr, Tatis Jr, Wander Franco, Forrest Whitley, etc... The guys who would theoretically be 75 or 80 potential players in OOTP. For the most part, these guys dominate the minor leagues. If they're not putting up dominant numbers, then they're putting up respectable numbers at a level for which they're quite young.

I'm not saying it should be the guys with the best potential have the best numbers and vice versa, but if you look at an OOTP top prospects lists the top end guys don't really produce the numbers. When I follow a top pitching prospect in real life, each start they make is exciting to see how they do. In OOTP, it doesn't matter because the stats and the potential don't really relate at all. This is also why I can't do stats-only. I think I'm doing a poor job of explaining it but there's just something "missing" in the whole scouting and player development part of the game. But playing with new scouting reports once a year, I would regularly have young prospects put up good numbers at a challenging level and see their potential rating plummet. Or a guy would have a terrible year but his potential stayed the same.

Maybe instead of just a scouting director we could have a team of three or so scouts? Then instead of just OSA or SD we have some more options? By the way, OSA should be a little bit better than it is. Across all the places that put out Top Prospect lists, there's relative consensus at the top.

3. Add options for alternate uniforms, especially as the 3D becomes more and more a part of the game.

4. This is a tiny one... When you do "Make this work now" on a trade, it produces the list of players. If I open up a player's profile to see if I want to include him in the trade, then go back, I have to click "Make this work now" again to get the list back up.

5. Much more realistic contract demands. I believe this is something that was addressed in OOTP 20 but the way veterans asked for huge deals (and found teams to oblige) was crazy in OOTP 19. A team would shell out a $150 million contract and then by midseason that player would be on the trading block because the team was trying to dump him as an overpaid veteran.

6. Improvements to league history and almanac. Let me get really, REALLY immersed. Easy-to-see playoff brackets from prior years. Sortable draft history for the league and for teams similar to baseball-reference. Which first-round picks in league history have produced the most WAR? Stuff like that.

7. Save lineups for my main league team when players "leave" the league to play in a tournament like the World Baseball Classic.

That's what I can think of for now. I'll post more I'm sure... I should note that I'm still playing OOTP 19 more than a year later because it's a very, very good and fun game. Don't want that to get lost when I'm basically posting a list of complaints

NPBL tie rules (limited number of extra innings, possible tie), short double headers in MiLB.

Options for both in fictional obviously.

Oh, another big one (again, if this has been fixed in OOTP 20 please let me know): Fix the bug that results in different ratings being shown on the player profile page and the player scouting page.

One thing that would be great for modding would be if Teams.csv and MiLBTeams.csv were combined into one file. I don't know if it's possible without rewriting a bunch of stuff, but it would make it easier to move teams between majors and minors while leaving their history intact.

Also: having more than two subleagues would make the Federal League easier to represent.

More options for the coaching system. I'd like to have MLB level coaches only and not have to worry about all of the lower level leagues.

I haven't played with coaching turned on in many, many years because I don't want to have to fill out all of my minor league staff. I'd prefer to just hire an MLB Manager and leave it at that. If I must, I'm fine with a hitting and pitching coach too, but nothing more.

I posted this in the OOTP19 forum, but I'd like to have a way to see which players have won the most Championships in my league. Also would be nice to see who won the most Cy Youngs, MVP's, Gold Gloves, etc.

Right now I don't think (I could be wrong) there's a page that has sortable data of this nature. I'm envisioning the Stats page where you can sort the columns. The columns in this case would just be "Championship", "Best Pitcher Award", "Best Hitter Award", etc.

Does something like this already exist?

Give us the ability to sort relationship to players for coaches. Development: excellent and etc. also how many players would have a bad relationship.
