Full feature list
I apologize if this has been discussed already but when will the full feature list be released?

We likely won't give that out until the open beta starts, on the 18th

Three weeks from release. How fluid is it still?

Yikes, OOTP. I have never heard of anything like this before. I implore you to value your customer's hard-earned money more than this. |

There's hasn't been any since OOTP 16, as far as I know. I believe there was an unofficial one posted on the Facebook page or a blog somewhere last year(or the year before?), but nothing sent in an e-mail or posted on here since then that I've seen. I know somebody will eagerly tell me if I'm wrong. I suspect the reason for this is that, as much as we all love the game, there simply haven't been any significant, game changing features since then. This year's Live Services is the first feature since OOTP 16 that I think is noteworthy enough to deserve a road to release...everything the last few years has just been AI improvements and small cosmetic or immersion changes. |

OOTP has been incredibly transparent in my experiences so I give them the benefit of the doubt anyways, but I kinda agree.
Couldn't we just get a full list up to this point and just update the list until release? |

I highly doubt they are hiding any huge/major features from people. After all, why would they? They want to get as many pre-orders as possible. However, the list that has been released thus far I'm sure is what they know for sure will be in the game. But work is ongoing, so when the beta begins they will have a more complete list of what will be in the game/what they have been able to add/change since the pre-order was announced. Going from past years indications, the "final/complete" release list isn't likely to look radically different from what's already out there. It's actually more respectful to do it that way than to include a complete list which includes features they aren't 100% sure will be in the game. Then maybe someone orders super excited about something that may in the end not make it. I'm not entirely sure what makes you think they haven't given any indication of what's in the game. There is plenty that has already been announced with the pre-order. If you like those features, go ahead and pre-order. If you don't, certainly no one is forcing you to do so. |

Shady? Let me ask you something: You have been registered here since 2003. In all those years, have you ever felt shortchanged, lied to, or otherwise cheated by the developers of this product?

We're not trying to hide anything, it's just easier to release things all at once when the game actually releases. I was on our twitch stream last week to discuss the new features, Markus was on this week to discuss the PT features. We have listed other items in the newsletter.
If anyone is not confident about what will be in the final product, we aren't offended if you want to wait before pre-ordering. If you are purchasing through Steam, we don't even allow pre-orders anyways. We're confident that people will enjoy the final product, and as always, we'll keep working through the next few months to add more great things in too. Whenever you feel happy with what we have included, place your order then. Whether that was last week, or you wait until March 18 or 22, or even later, we want, hope, and expect that everyone will be happy with their purchase. |

Absolutely have. Promotion/relegation was something that was asked for for over a decade. Every year we were told “not this year but we will address next year.” Fictional league players have largely been neglected for countless years. I understand the current direction of the series... to fully embrace the MLB license but it’s horrible that those of us that have been here since the beginning have been discarded in favor of the commercialization. I get it. I do get it, but there were a lot of things said over the years that never came to fruition for the rest of us.

Of course, you would have been aware of that and undoubtedly countless other additions made to this game had you actually read the full features list from two years ago.....you know, the same list you believe this company is deliberately withholding from you this year because of their crass commercialism? Maybe the real problem here is that you're simply not reading the feature lists as they are released. Maybe, before you start complaining about the lack of a comprehensive feature list for this version, you should backtrack ten years or so and peruse through the previous lists, just to make sure all those features you think aren't in the game haven't actually been added already.

Let's see..... Fictional players cannot under any circumstance use.. 3d face gen fictional logos (all new and improved in v19 I may add. Ignored?) Any or all the the possible roster rules. Sure you can turn them on in options but please don't. (those are for MLB games only!!!) Respect the non-fictional players Seriously OOTP drips with an almost unlimited number of options for fictional players to use. Anything created for an non-fiction MLB current or historical game can be used in a fictional league (ignore what I said above ) Have they embraced MLB? Sure you bet, it would be stupid not to. Here's the thing though, everything that MLB brings to the table benefits all styles of play. Every rule they add is another option for fictional. Every tweak to player models and aging curves is, let's say it all together now, another option for fictional. Shall I go on? My game was started in v4(2002) with real players and has been imported to every new version since. Guess what? It's been a fictional game since somewhere around season 2023. I haven't felt left behind at all. Maybe it's just me? |

Oh good lord. When did I ever say that P/R leagues didn’t get added. Please apply some reading comprehension, folks.
I understand we all love OOTP, I understand we all want to defend them and definitely defend Marcus. But come on, for something as widely requested as P/R to take some 15 years to add to the game is horrific. This game used to be about customization, now it’s ALL about the MLB thing. Which again, I GET. I know why, I get why, I can’t complain why. But before you all jumped on this game there was a time where it was about creating the most robust, unique and costumizable baseball universe possible. It’s still the biggest and best at that- but the progress towards that ended and were now full-on MLB everything. Again, I get it. For the love of god though, apply the smallest amount of reading comprehension if you’re going to respond to my posts. |
