1) More player development options -- have a feature where you can assign guys to work on certain skills during the winter, this could really be useful if you wanted a player/prospect to shift positions to be more useful. The success rate of this can vary, but at least give the option.
2) Better RP trade options -- In the MLB, a solid RP can get a team a few decent prospects in return, but when you try to trade them in the game, returns are very limited to 1/2 star potential guys. Overall, make the prospect-for-veteran flips more realistic. If a rebuilding team has no major assets they're able to trade, but has a few good additions for a contending club to pursue, they're pretty much stuck. You should be able to trade, say, a lefty bench bat for a fringe organizational top 20 prospect.
3) Sponsorship deals -- Owners/GMs should be able to make sponsorship deals that impact team budgets and depend on team performances.
4) Trade Deadline improvements -- Make it more realistic for contending teams to buy and rebuilding ones to sell at the deadline, and even be more active in FA/IFA
