Activation issues

Anyone else having activation issues such as this? Very frustrating as none of the steps seem to work. Any other ideas?

I couldn't activate the Windows version either - though my error is 0xE0000003 - "ENGINE INTERNAL FAILURE".

I rebooted and it worked then. Also, try right clicking on the icon and running as an admin.

Yeah, those are generally my first two instructions to anyone who has this issue on a support ticket.

The next thing to do if that doesn't clear things up is offline licensing, which works probably 90% of the time:

Offline Licensing

- Disconnect from the Internet entirely.
- Start OOTP and cancel out of the Buy Now screen.
- Click the Enter License Key button.
- You'll get an error since you're not connected to the Internet so click Cancel
- In the product activation box that comes up select the "activate using a different computer that has web access" radio button, and then click Next.
- An Activation URL and Installation ID will display. Note this information.
- Go to any computer that has an Internet connection, and go to the Activation URL.
- Enter the Installation ID you noted before and click the Submit button
- An Activation Key will be displayed. Note this key.
- On the computer where you are installing OOTP, click Next to advance to the next page of the wizard. Or if you quit the game, start it again (make sure you're still disconnected) and click Enter License Key.
- When it asks for your serial number, paste it in. You'll get an error since you're not connected to the Internet so click Cancel
- In the product activation box that comes up select "I already have an activation key and would like to activate now".
- Paste in the activation key that you obtained and then click Activate
- Your game is now licensed and ready to use!
