For Those Looking For Accurate MiLB Stats
I've tested this over the weekend and I've gotten fantastic Minor league stats throughout 25 year stretches, but it does come with a moderately high PITA factor.
Step 1: Go to the link below for the 2012 stats for each Minor League in the game Link: 2012 Minor League Baseball League Encyclopedia - Baseball-Reference.com Step Two: Go into the league menu and choose the first Minor league, the International League Step Three: Go to League Setup>strategy tab where the league totals are located. Input the correct league totals for the league(BABIP will have to be figured out on your own the formula is Hits - Home Runs/At bats-strikeouts-home runs + sac flies) Step Four: Check the automatically adjust league totals modifiers for accuracy box(that and the box below will now both be checked) Step Five: Very Important! Click the league menu tab and go to the league home screen, from that screen choose the next league then begin again from step two. All in all it should take about a half hour to complete but it is absolutely worth it to have accurate minor league stats |

one caveat...make sure you use a DH in your minor leagues, or these numbers will be skewed.....

DH is enabled in every minor league by default. The next thing I need to check is playoff formats....maybe

Thanks to the OP. This is exactly what I did last year for 13 and it worked like a charm. I am happy to hear that it works for 14 also.

because I was bored at work last week, made a spreadsheet to update my league totals for MLB and all the way down to the Rookies. the totals you see are the 3 year averages for 2010-2012.

Good stuff. I've been doing this since v9 and it makes everything work better. Before autocalc I used an excel spreadsheet to fix the modifiers.

I never touched the minor league numbers in 11 and 12 and from the quickstart they were good to go from day one. It was only 13 where they got all out of whack, at least for me.

Does matter that under the "strategy" section in the league set up that for each of the minor leagues the "Historical Year" option on the upper left side says 2008 for each of them? The MLB one says 2013.

So i went through and changed all of the league totals, but the second I started to sim the season, they all changed back to the same league totals for each league.

You must have skipped the main step, that's the only time that happens. Once you input the numbers you MUST go to the league home screen. From there change leagues, meaning go from say Intl to PCL wait for it to load then hit league setup and then strategy. There's no need to go to the options screen so just disregard that all together.

In game they are real. I spent over 300 hours updating everyone for 14 . I think it was around 2500 players active and free agents. As for team stats, we don't do that.
